The membrane examined while it is still a membrane.
Wet area rectification is the most expensive defect category in a new home, because reaching a layer worth a few hundred dollars means taking a finished room apart. The Austral records carry both ends of that story: a shower recess trimming item at frame stage and a shower area recorded at lock-up, then inadequate sealant at a bath, inconsistent sealing and defective grouting at handover. Every photograph here was taken in Austral, roughly six kilometres north west of Edmondson Park and in the same growth corridor. We would rather name the suburb than let another job read as local.

Annotated findings from Waterproofing inspections on Edmondson Park builds. Client addresses withheld.

No. A flood test cuts into the waterproofer's own process and their warranty, and it belongs with them.
Often two or three days between the membrane curing and the tiler starting, which is why the booking has to be made in advance rather than arranged on the day.
A damp skirting or a stain on the wall of the adjoining room, a year or two after you move in, always behind finished tiling.
Whatever remains open gets assessed, and the sections already closed are listed as such.
That falls to the builder, who has to get the waterproofer and tiler back in the right order. The report gives the location and the clause rather than an opinion.
